One day a crow snatched a bun from a child. Then she settled down on a branch of a

tall tree to eat the bun. A fox saw the crow with the bun. He went and sat under the

tree. He looked up at the crow and said as sweetly as he could, “Good morning madam.

How are you?”

     There was no reply.

The fox said, “You look very bright and beautiful. If your voice is also sweet, you

will be a queen among birds. Please let me hear your voice.”

The silly crow thought, “I am indeed a queen among birds. I must prove it.” She

Opened her mouth to cow and down fell the bun from its beak.

The fox picked up the bun and ran away with it.
